In December of 2021, right after I turned 55, my bone scan (first one ever) showed a T-Score of -2.4, one tenth of a point away from full-on osteoporosis. My best friend sent me a list of personal trainers and Julie O’Dell with Front Door Fitness has been a perfect fit for me. She has been nothing short of AMAZING! She teaches me custom workouts that work just for me and then I take it from there two more times each week. In just 8 months, we brought my T-Score up to -1.9! My doctor is so impressed with my improvement and is no longer suggesting that I take the bone-builder medicine that was to be the next course of action if strength training didn’t work. I am so grateful for Julie, her positivity, for her know-how, and for pushing me to reach my goals… but not so much that I wind up injuring myself. AND with my busy schedule, there would have been no way for me to work on a trip out of town to a specialty gym to make this happen. It’s been one of the best things ever to be able to work with her… in my own home. And we aren’t done. Hopefully, in another few years, osteopenia will be a memory. THANK YOU, JULIE!!
