As I mentioned in the last post, the focus for this week is a shift in attitude to help you all become more successful at your workout goals. Well one thing that always sabotages people when it comes to training for themselves is an improper understanding (or total lack of knowledge) of the benefits of working out and general physical activity.

Keep in mind that regular physical activity can be fun too. Take this picture as an example -- when was the last time you went out and did some fun physical activity with your family?
While this listing I’m about to give you isn’t comprehensive, it’s a pretty accurate depiction of some of the best benefits for those who lead regularly active lifestyles…
- Exercise controls weight.
- Exercise combats health conditions and diseases.
- Exercise improves moods.
- Exercise boosts energy.
- Exercise promotes better sleep.
- Exercise puts the spark back into your sex life.
- Exercise can be fun.
The reason the above points are quoted is because I pulled them from an article by the Mayo Clinic. I want for people to understand that I’m not just making these benefits up out of thin air – but that they are in fact well researched and valid claims.
Don’t cheat yourself out of these benefits in 2012. If you’re ready to start a guided path towards your goal of a healthier you, contact us using the form in the upper-right portion of this web page. It’s at no cost to you, and we’ll gladly discuss whatever is on your mind pertaining to the benefits of exercise.
Have a nice day, and we look forward to hearing from you.

As the Midwestern Fall settles in, I like to reflect on the great outdoor Summer Activities I’d already enjoyed – and the pre-Winter Activities I still have time for!

- Go camping
- Spend a day out at a lake
- Take a small biking expedition
- Go for a hike
- Try (assisted) indoor/outdoor rock climbing
- Get in those last few golf swings
- Go fishing
- Enjoy a nice fall picnic
- Play a great game of Tennis
- Jog with the sunrise
It’s the simple things that keep us going sometimes. All of these activities are locally accessible in the Kansas City, MO area and can provide great times for you, your friends and your family. Not to mention they aren’t the largest time commitments in the world.
Staying active is a big part of maintaining your health while keeping your stress levels down, so get out there! You may even want to invite your Front Door Fitness Trainer out there with you for your day away
(…hey — we had to try).
Don’t forget to contact us if you need any help coming up with great pre-Winter Activity ideas. Just use the form in the upper right corner of this page.
