Happy Monday everyone!  I just love it when articles come out that combine tons of “little known” information.  Sometimes I learn surprising facts that I hadn’t ever heard before, and sometimes I’m just reminded of some great tips that I’d forgotten somewhere down the line.

Yahoo! released such a listing in partnership with Ocean Spray, and I thought you all wouldn’t mind seeing it since some of the tidbits in it are not only interesting, but effective as well.  Check it out by clicking the picture below…

Every now and then you just have to mix it up.  When it comes to exercising, introducing a new type of workout not only keeps things challenging – but it also makes them interesting and (potentially) fun.  All of that said, I just wanted to introduce you all to the concept of “Pool Fitness” since we’re entering warmer weather for the most part around the country.

I came across an interesting interview on CNN with retired Olympic Softball Player Jennie Finch that I was hoping you all wouldn’t mind FDF sharing with you.  She’s a great example of what a person could potentially do while staying fit at home – without a gym – yes, you read that right: WITHOUT a gym.

I’ll let you read over the bulk of the article, but this retired Olympic mom points out one great aspect of fitness when asked if she had any advice for someone sitting at home right now…

It’s all about starting. You know, baby steps. It’s not going to be about instant gratification that we want, that we’re used to in this day and age. But it is about the process and the journey and just making those subtle changes. Parking a little further. Walking up the stairs. Those little things that can help and get you kick-started.

This is an inspiring read folks, hope you enjoy.  Just CLICK THE IMAGE below to read the full article.
