We all try to eat a little bit healthier when we exercise, but have you ever wondered if you’re eating the “right” workout food? You know, the best one that you can when certain key aspects are considered?
Well I came across this great section while perusing the Men’s Health website. The useful section takes a look at the types of foods you’d eat: Pre-Workout, During Your Workout, Post Workout, for an Energy Boost and for Weight Loss. And it’s seriously interesting.
Here’s a rundown of the match-ups they have (click to be taken to match-up):
Like I said, it really is a useful section and I’d encourage your to check it out just to get a good handle on what types of workout foods are out there – and what will provide the most benefit to you when weighed against other options.

Have a nice day
Hi everyone – I’m sticking with a food focused theme as the weather takes a positive turn in the KC Area because people eat differently once the weather changes. Some will begin eating more outdoorsy-type foods (see the last post about Healthy Grilling), while others will consciously attempt to eat healthier items to coincide with their Springtime workout routines.
If you count yourself in the latter group – are you certain that the food options you’re going for as actually as healthy as their packaging or marketing would promote them to be? Assuming that you may not be 100% sure that the “healthy” things you eat are actually as healthy as they say they are, I wanted to tell you not to worry. Check out this informative (but quick) video from Howcast.com on the subject of identifying truly healthy foods…
I think the video has a little something in there for everyone beginning their journey into healthier food choices and I hope you found something useful in it as well.
