Have you ever seen one of those infomercials where they show the amazing before/after pictures of people who use whatever miracle product is being sold?

Before and After

It’s always a dramatic transformation that makes you do one of two things: You’re either (A) really impressed by what you see and may even purchase the product, or you are (B) convinced that what you’re looking at is a total sham.  Well while I don’t endorse all of the images I see on those infomercials, I am supportive of anyone who wants to take progress pictures as they workout.

There are multiple benefits to capturing pictures of your progress…

  1. Over time it will show you the subtle changes that you would normally tend to miss.
  2. There’s a certain level of satisfaction with actually getting to SEE the change that you want.
  3. The pictures will give you an unbiased view of yourself, and point out areas of potential improvement.
  4. Seeing yourself progress gives you motivation to keep going.
  5. When everything is said and done, each picture will have it’s own story attached to it that you’ll be proud of :-)

That list isn’t all-encompassing, but you get the point right?  I encourage people that I work with to take progress pictures at the end of every week so that they can have a personal diary of sorts of their fitness success.  I’d recommend the same to you.

If you need any ideas on what types of progress pictures you should be taking, feel free to contact us using the form in the upper-right portion of this web page.

Have a nice day!
